Sanyo MG-25L
The Sanyo MG-25L was made by the Japanese brand for mass market record players. This MM cartridge pairs a conical stylus with a 5 mV output for any standard MM phono input. Rated tracking force is specified at 2.5 g. The replaceable stylus is the ST-25D, and Phono Culture lists 2 compatible replacement styli.
The Sanyo MG-25L, originally supplied as OEM equipment on Sanyo and Otto turntables, is a forgiving, easygoing MM with a conical stylus. Its smooth, non-fatiguing balance favors natural vocals over pinpoint imaging or scalpel-sharp detail, a relaxed, rounded presentation for casual listening and older records. Modest budget setups are exactly its element. The stylus is replaceable, so wear is a simple swap rather than a retip.
