Pickering V15 Type II
The Pickering V15 Type II continues the well known American V15 series on an MI generator. Its 3.5 mV output feeds any standard MM phono input. The elliptical stylus tracks from 1.0 to 2.0 g by specification. The replaceable stylus is the D1500, and Phono Culture lists 2 compatible replacement styli.
The Pickering V15 Type II offers balanced, forgiving presentation with a natural, unforced midrange where vocals come through with warmth rather than analytical bite. Bass keeps enough density for rhythmic drive without bloat, and dynamics stay lively without aggression on lesser pressings. Jazz, rock and vintage collections on modest to mid systems reward it. The elliptical stylus from the D1500 family is replaceable, easing long-term ownership.
