Philips 300

The Philips 300 uses a ceramic piezo generator and puts out a very hot 325 mV, so it suits a dedicated ceramic input rather than a magnetic phono stage. Its conical stylus tracks at 4.0 to 6.0 grams, typical of budget record players from the era. Phono Culture lists two compatible replacement styli for it, among them the 946/DS-51.

Casual listening with older LPs, pop and family records on simple all-in-one setups suits it best. The stylus is replaceable and often comes in flip-over form.
