Ortofon Valencia
The Ortofon Valencia belongs to the Danish maker's audiophile low output MC cartridges. Its 0.45 mV output requires a dedicated MC phono input or a step up transformer. The Fine Line stylus tracks from 2.2 to 2.7 g with 2.5 g nominal. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond means a retip.
The Ortofon Valencia leans toward a natural, vocal-forward presentation where voices sound warm and unforced. Fine inner detail rides over a quiet, low-noise background that lets soft passages breathe, imaging stays precise without aggression, and bass supports the music without dominating it. Jazz, acoustic and vocal-centric records on modest and refined systems alike reward it. The stylus is integrated, so wear means a retip.
