The Ortofon MC-5000 crowned the Danish MC range of its day at the high end. Its ultra low 0.14 mV output demands a high gain MC phono input or a step up transformer. The Replicant stylus tracks from 2.2 to 2.7 g with 2.5 g nominal. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond means a retip.
