Ortofon FF 10XE
The Ortofon FF 10XE works as a mid range MM cartridge fitted with an elliptical stylus profile. Its 6 mV output feeds a standard MM phono input without any step up device. Rated tracking force runs from 1.7 to 2.3 g, with 2.0 g given as the nominal setting. The replaceable FF10XE Stylus is documented in the Phono Culture database with one compatible replacement stylus.
The Ortofon FF 10XE is a warm, forgiving MM with a natural, easygoing voice. Vocal presence and midrange feel organic rather than clinical, and dynamics stay lively without turning edgy on less-than-perfect pressings. Bass sits full-bodied yet controlled, while the elliptical tip keeps imaging tidy without demanding a high-end front end. The stylus is replaceable, so casual long sessions stay worry-free.
