Ortofon Cadenza Black

The Ortofon Cadenza Black crowns the Danish Cadenza series at the high end. Its low 0.33 mV output requires a dedicated MC phono input or a step up transformer. The Shibata stylus tracks from 2.0 to 2.5 g with 2.3 g nominal. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond means a retip.

Additional Info

The Ortofon Cadenza Black defines precision and transparency. A boron cantilever paired with a Shibata tip pulls out fine detail while keeping channels tightly separated, building a wide, stable soundstage where dynamics snap with authority and vocals stay natural. Dense, controlled bass anchors complex orchestral and acoustic material on well-matched arms, though worn records get little mercy. The stylus is integrated, so wear calls for a retip.
