[Test Note] Check Empire 2000E/III on my setup
Nagatron 2000
The Nagatron 2000 belongs to the audiophile class and uses an IM generator. Its 3.5 mV output feeds any standard MM phono input. The conical stylus rides the groove at a light 1.0 to 1.75 g with 1.25 g nominal. The replaceable stylus is the RS-P-2000, and Phono Culture lists one compatible replacement.
aluminum alloy; special permalloy micro-tubular armature
Additional Info
The Nagatron 2000, also sold as the IMS and Nagatronics P-2000, favors smooth natural vocals and lively dynamic swings over razor-edge detail. Its aluminum cantilever with a permalloy microtube anchor keeps the top end controlled, while the conical tip prefers easy tracking to pinpoint imaging. Jazz, classic rock and vocal records on modest systems suit it well. The stylus is replaceable, and the mount converts between half-inch and P-mount.
