Nagaoka MP-300

The Nagaoka MP-300 is an audiophile moving iron cartridge with an elliptical stylus profile that traces groove detail cleanly. Its 3 mV output suits any standard MM phono input, so no step-up transformer or MC stage is needed. Recommended tracking force runs from 1.3 to 1.8 g. The JN-P300 stylus is user replaceable, and Phono Culture lists one compatible replacement stylus.

Additional Info

The Nagaoka MP-300 pairs a boron cantilever with an elliptical stylus for a warm, forgiving presentation and genuinely natural vocal timbre. Detail arrives without ever turning clinical or fatiguing, imaging stays precise and spacious, and bass keeps controlled rather than heavy. That balance makes it easy to live with across vocal jazz, acoustic and rock. The stylus is replaceable, so long-term ownership stays straightforward.
