Nagaoka MP-10
The Nagaoka MP-10 opens the well known MP series at the entry level. This MI cartridge outputs 5 mV and feeds any standard MM phono input. Its conical stylus tracks from 2.0 to 2.5 g with 2.3 g nominal. The replaceable stylus is the JN-P10, and Phono Culture lists 2 compatible replacement styli.
The Nagaoka MP-10 from the Moving Permalloy line leans toward a smooth, easygoing presentation with natural vocals and a relaxed top end that stays pleasant on less-than-perfect pressings. Bass carries enough body to anchor the mix without turning heavy, while the alloy cantilever and spherical tip keep tracking calm rather than razor-etched. Internally MI, it plugs into any standard MM phono input. The stylus is replaceable, easy for everyday jazz and vocal listening.
