NEAT V120
The NEAT V120 belongs to the early Japanese school of cartridge design. This MM cartridge with a conical stylus works into a standard MM phono input. Rated tracking force runs from 0.75 to 2.0 g. The replaceable stylus is the DS-120, and Phono Culture lists one compatible replacement.
The NEAT V120 sits in an injection-moulded body and favors natural vocal warmth with smooth dynamics over aggressive detail retrieval. Older and noisy pressings stay listenable, bass keeps reasonable control without dominating, and the modest soundstage never falls apart. Pop, jazz, folk and relaxed sessions on casual systems fit it well. The DS-120 conical stylus swaps out without any fuss.
