Micro Seiki LM-8
The Micro Seiki LM-8 comes from the Japanese workshop celebrated for its turntables. This MM cartridge pairs an elliptical stylus with a 5 mV output for any standard MM phono input. Rated tracking force runs from 1.2 to 1.8 g by specification. The replaceable stylus is the V-8, and Phono Culture lists 4 compatible replacement styli.
The Micro Seiki LM-8 manages lively yet forgiving MM character. Dynamics and imaging lead the presentation with a spacious, energetic soundstage and punchy transients, while a relaxed, tolerant top end keeps vocals natural and never fatiguing. Bass carries good density without turning heavy, and the separated X-type yoke with premium permalloy aids high-frequency separation and stereo layering. The elliptical stylus is replaceable, versatile for rock, jazz and vintage systems.
