Additional Info

The Linn K5 leans forgiving and easygoing rather than forensic. A warm, natural midrange keeps vocals relaxed and unstrained, while moderate dynamics and a calmed top end smooth over surface noise on well-worn records. Bass stays modest but tidy and imaging serviceable rather than pinpoint, nice for long casual sessions with vocal, jazz and rock material. The elliptical stylus is replaceable, and many owners fit Audio-Technica ATN95E or AT-VMN95E inserts, reflecting Linn's development ties with Audio-Technica.
