Jelco MC-14
The Jelco MC-14 is an entry-level MM cartridge whose 3 mV output feeds any standard MM phono input without extra gain. Its conical stylus tracks at 1.5 to 3.0 grams according to the specification, so setup on modest tonearms stays straightforward. The replaceable stylus is named ND-14D, and the Phono Culture database lists three compatible replacement styli for this model.

The Jelco MC-14, often labeled the MC-14D and also seen as the OEM rebrand CEC MC-20, leans toward a forgiving, easygoing delivery that smooths transients and never turns harsh. Comfortable stage presentation wins out over pinpoint detail, and the spherical tip keeps vocals natural and unstrained. Jazz, vocal and classic rock on modest budget setups suit it well. The stylus is replaceable, which keeps servicing simple.
