Garrott Brothers P77i
The Garrott Brothers P77i works as an audiophile grade moving magnet pickup, and its 4 mV output feeds any standard MM phono input without extra gain. Its Fine Line stylus profile tracks the groove walls precisely at a rated downforce of 1.7 to 1.9 grams, with 1.8 grams given as nominal. The replaceable stylus assembly carries the designation PS-77i (MicroScanner II), and Phono Culture lists two compatible replacement styli for this model.
The Garrott Brothers P77i is a precise, articulate MM built around a low-Q dual-tube alloy cantilever, giving a taut, well-controlled presentation with excellent tracking stability. Its Fine Line stylus extracts fine detail and natural vocal timbre without turning bright or fatiguing, while imaging stays sharply focused over tidy bass. Well-matched arms with jazz, acoustic and vocal records suit it best. The stylus is replaceable, so wear never ends the story.
