Excel QD700C
The Excel QD700C works as an entry level MM cartridge fitted with a conical stylus profile. Its 3 mV output suits any standard MM phono input, so no step up device or MC stage becomes necessary. Rated tracking force runs from 1.5 to 2.5 grams, and the stylus assembly carries the designation N-700CR. Phono Culture lists three compatible replacement styli for this model.

The Excel QD700C smooths over surface noise and groove wear rather than exposing them. Detail, imaging and dynamic snap stay modest, but the conical stylus glides gently and keeps the midrange warm and relaxed, never harsh. Casual listening, older well-loved LPs and budget systems where comfort trumps precision suit it best. The stylus is replaceable and sold as the N-700CR.
