EMT TMD-25
The EMT TMD-25 belongs to the studio cartridges of the legendary German marque. Its 0.9 mV output asks for a dedicated MC phono input or a step up transformer. The conical stylus runs at a rated tracking force of 2.5 g. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond means a retip.
The EMT TMD-25 is a mono cartridge with warm, natural character and a smooth, unforced top end from its spherical diamond on an aluminum cantilever. Vocals and midrange textures come through with organic ease, imaging stays modest by design, and coherence beats stereo spread. Vintage mono jazz and classical collections on forgiving systems reward it. The stylus is integrated, so wear leads to a retip.
