Audio-Technica AT92E
The Audio-Technica AT92E opens the Japanese maker's mass market range at the entry level. This MM cartridge pairs an elliptical stylus with a 3.5 mV output for any standard MM phono input. Rated tracking force runs from 1.0 to 1.5 g. The replaceable stylus is the ATN92E, and Phono Culture lists one compatible replacement.
The Audio-Technica AT92E, often sold as the AT92ECD kit with an adapter, pairs an alloy-tube cantilever with an elliptical tip for an easygoing, forgiving sound. Backgrounds stay quiet, vocals come through natural and relaxed, and the intimate soundstage keeps long casual sessions fatigue-free. Pop, rock and jazz on unfussy systems suit it well. The ATN92E stylus is replaceable when worn.
