[Test Note] Check Empire 2000E/III on my setup
Audio-Technica AT3600L
The Audio-Technica AT3600L is a budget MM cartridge with a conical stylus profile and an output level of 3.5 mV, so it feeds any standard MM phono input without extra gain. Rated tracking force runs from 3.0 to 4.0 grams with a nominal setting of 3.5 grams. The stylus is user replaceable and carries the designation ATN3600L. Phono Culture lists 3 compatible replacement styli for this model.
The AT3600L is built for relaxed, fatigue-free listening rather than forensic detail. Vocals come through with natural warmth, dynamics feel modest but pleasant, and the conical tip smooths over record wear and imperfect setups gracefully. Casual listening, older records and budget-friendly systems are its natural habitat. The stylus is replaceable, so a fresh tip is easy to source when it wears down.
