Audio-Technica AT33EV

The Audio-Technica AT33EV continues the long running 33 series in the audiophile class. Its low 0.3 mV output requires a dedicated MC phono input or a step up transformer. The elliptical stylus tracks from 1.8 to 2.2 g with 2.0 g nominal. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond means a retip.

Additional Info

The Audio-Technica AT33EV pairs high resolution with a naturally poised vocal presentation. Detail emerges without edginess, imaging stays precise and stable, and bass carries good density and control for rhythmic drive without bloat. Acoustic, jazz and vocal records on revealing systems reward it most. The elliptical tip on a dural tapered tubular cantilever is integrated, so wear calls for a retip.
