Air Tight PC-1 mono
The Air Tight PC-1 mono comes from the Japanese maker of high end tube electronics. Its 0.6 mV output requires a dedicated MC phono input or a step up transformer. The Line Contact stylus tracks between 2.0 and 2.2 g by specification. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond goes out for retipping.
The Air Tight PC-1 mono delivers razor-sharp resolution paired with remarkably dense, controlled bass, its boron cantilever keeping transients tight and grain-free even at high levels. Imaging stays precise and stable while vocals sound natural rather than analytical. Mono jazz, classical and vintage pressings where groove noise needs taming reward it most. The stylus is integrated, so wear leads to a retip.
