Accuphase AC-2

The Accuphase AC-2 is a rare cartridge from the famous high end amplifier maker. Its tiny 0.18 mV output demands a high gain MC phono input or a step up transformer. The Line Contact stylus tracks from 1.5 to 2.5 g with 2.0 g nominal. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond goes out for retipping.

Additional Info

The Accuphase AC-2 is extraordinarily resolving and quiet, with razor-sharp imaging, tight bass control and natural vocals. Its Line Contact tip on a hollow sapphire cantilever gives fast, disciplined dynamics and reveals every flaw in a pressing rather than smoothing it over. Acoustic, classical and jazz on transparent, high-resolution systems reward it most. The stylus is integrated, so only a retip is possible when worn.
