ADC ZLM
The ADC ZLM crowned the brand's MI lineup at the high end of its era. Its Shibata stylus tracks at a feather light 0.75 to 1.25 g with 1.0 g nominal. The 3.5 mV output works into any standard MM phono input. The replaceable stylus is the RSZ, and Phono Culture lists 4 compatible replacement styli.
The ADC ZLM builds its character around airy transparency and a fast tapered cantilever. Highs stay crisp without turning brittle, vocals sit forward and natural, and the Shibata profile keeps the top end extended yet composed. Imaging spreads wide and stable while dynamics feel quick rather than weighty, rewarding acoustic, jazz and vocal records on well-set-up arms. The stylus is replaceable when worn.
